There are plenty of valid connections here, but also points that can be debated. Some of the films cited are based on source material that predates Star Wars, and you could pick out some of Star Wars‘ ideas in many different films that came before, just a few of which would be 2001: A Space Odyssey, Logan’s Run, A Boy and His Dog, Planet of the Apes. But it could certainly be said that even if dystopian spaceworlds and robot personalities were in the ether, no film tied them together like Star Wars did in 1977, and yes, a great number of films strove for that same magic in the years that followed.
